An advanced Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) solution for industrial process plants, whose objectives are to optimize energy consumption and to automate the diagnostic-maintenance processes and those responsible for monitoring the chemical-biological parameters of the treated waters. In particular, the proposed system will allow:

  • To securely interconnect any plant to industrial cloud platforms (Paas-Platform-as-a-Service);
  • To implement a digital model (digital twin) of the plant and rotating machineries that allows remote monitoring of the components health and performances, preventive actions to avoid and prevent failures, “what if” analysis and scenarios with particular attention to energy saving; to realize plant and rotating machineries digital model (digital twin) that allows to monitor remotely the health/performance status of the components with the aim of operating in advance to avoid failures and simulating “what if” scenarios with particular focus on the energy saving;
  • To automate the current monitoring level of the purification chemical-physical processes through distributed systems of innovative sensors;
  • To equip operators and maintenance managers with web based decision support system
